Note: In a career context, all numbers are restricted between 0 and 5. However, in a match context, the numbers are not restricted.
For simplicity, we are changing the scale here in the report and expressing every Match Impact number as a percentage. The maximum percentage (100) is assigned to the highest impact player of the match. All other players in the match are scaled relative to him. Negative Match Impact indicates that not only did the player not contribute in the match, but he also had an adverse effect on his team’s chances.

Scorecard

Sunrisers Hyderabad eliminated two-time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday (25 May), following a 22-run win at the Feroz Shah Kotla. They will now battle Gujarat Lions for the right to meet Royal Challengers Bangalore in Sunday’s final.

Moises Henriques was the highest impact player of the match for his all-round showing.

Henriques took to the crease following the early dismissal of Shikhar Dhawan and proceeded to steady the innings, building a partnership over the course of his 21-ball-31. He then returned to claim two top/middle-order wickets in a tight spell that dented KKR’s chase.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the highest impact bowler for his pressure-building three top/middle-order wickets. He was also the most restrictive bowler in the match.

Based on the performances of both teams, Sunrisers Hyderabad had an 85% higher impact than Kolkata Knight Riders in the match. Three players from SRH failed tonight while KKR had four such players.
