Note: In a career context, all numbers are restricted between 0 and 5. However, in a match context, the numbers are not restricted.
For simplicity, we are changing the scale here in the report and expressing every Match Impact number as a percentage. The maximum percentage (100) is assigned to the highest impact player of the match. All other players in the match are scaled relative to him. Negative Match Impact indicates that not only did the player not contribute in the match, but he also had an adverse effect on his team’s chances.

Scorecard

Mumbai Indians finally tasted success at their adopted home (Visakhapatnam) as they hammered Delhi Daredevils by 80 runs on Sunday (15 May).

‘Man of the match’ awardee Krunal Pandya was the highest impact player, and batsman, of the match.

Krunal top-scored with a 37-ball-86 and provided the impetus his team needed. His innings was highlighted by a 98-run stand, with Martin Guptill, for the second wicket. The tyro wasn’t done yet, as he returned to claim two wickets (2-15 off 2.1 overs). He also had Fielding Impact for affecting Sanju Samson’s run out.

It was the highest impact performance of Krunal Pandya’s burgeoning T20 career.

Jasprit Bumrah was the highest impact bowler for his three top/middle-order wickets in the evening’s most economical spell (3-13 off four overs).

MI had only two players who failed in the match. DD, with seven, cut a sorry figure with both bat and ball.
